Slate & Fold Packaging is operated by Select Gift Boxes Inc, a U.S. company. Ready-stock and custom packaging orders are fulfilled from our China facility. This policy explains processing time, transit estimates, shipping charges, customs responsibilities, and delivery support.
Processing Time
Ready-to-ship orders—including orders with logo printing—are normally dispatched within 1–3 business days after we receive a properly completed order and cleared payment. For logo-printed orders, the processing period begins after final proof approval.
Fully custom and made-to-order packaging typically requires about 20 business days of production after cleared payment and completion of all production requirements, including final artwork, specifications, and any required sample approval. The actual schedule may vary with order quantity, materials, finishing requirements, and production complexity and will be confirmed in the written quote. Production does not begin while required information or approval is outstanding.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays observed at the fulfillment location. Large quantities, special materials, or unusually complex production may require a separately confirmed schedule.
Shipping Methods and Charges
Ready-stock orders to eligible U.S. delivery addresses are offered on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), door-to-door basis. Each shipping option shown at checkout for an eligible ready-stock order is a DDP delivery service. The product amount and the weight-based shipping charge shown at checkout together form the complete DDP price for the order.
Oversized, fully custom, or made-to-order packaging may require a written freight quote before payment or production begins. The written quote will state the delivery method, shipping charge, and whether DDP service applies.
Sea Freight has an estimated transit time of 30–40 business days from carrier acceptance at origin to delivery at the customer-provided address. Air Freight Express transit estimates vary by route and order and will be shown at checkout or confirmed in a written quote. The checkout or written-quote estimate controls for that order.
Processing time and transit time are separate. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by customs review, carrier disruption, weather, port congestion, peak-season volume, force majeure events, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Unexpected Processing Delays
We make shipment representations only when we have a reasonable basis for meeting them. If we learn that we cannot dispatch an order within the promised processing period, we will notify you, provide a revised shipment date when available, and offer the option to accept the delay or cancel the unshipped order for a prompt refund, as required by applicable law.
Tracking
When tracking is available, we will send it to the email address associated with the order. Tracking activity may take time to appear after carrier acceptance. Large sea-freight shipments may use milestone updates or freight documents instead of parcel-style scans.
Customs, Duties, Taxes, and DDP
For an eligible U.S. ready-stock order, our DDP price covers door-to-door international transportation, export and import customs clearance, applicable customs duties, import taxes, and standard brokerage required to deliver the order to the shipping address provided at checkout. The customer should not be asked to pay additional import duties or standard customs-clearance fees when the shipment is delivered.
Charges caused by an inaccurate or incomplete address, refusal of delivery, an unavailable recipient, storage after a failed delivery attempt, a customer-requested change, or services outside the confirmed delivery scope are not included. For a fully custom, oversized, or other quoted order, the written quote controls; unless it expressly confirms DDP or prepaid duties and taxes, the customer is responsible for destination import clearance and related charges.
The customer must provide accurate delivery, importer, tax, and customs information when requested. Customs delays do not change product eligibility or automatically create a refund right, but applicable law and the cancellation rights for an unshipped order still apply.
Address Accuracy and Delivery Attempts
Please review the shipping address before placing an order. Contact support@slateandfold.com immediately if a correction is needed. We cannot guarantee a change after dispatch. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, refusal, unavailable recipient, or failed delivery may be charged to the customer unless the issue resulted from our error.
Lost, Delayed, or Delivered-but-Missing Shipments
Contact us within 7 calendar days after the latest estimated delivery date if a shipment has not arrived, or within 7 calendar days after a carrier marks a shipment delivered if you cannot locate it. Include your order number and any relevant tracking information.
We will open a carrier or freight investigation and keep you informed. When a shipment is confirmed lost or delivered incorrectly because of seller or carrier error, we will provide an appropriate replacement or refund. Other cases are reviewed individually based on tracking, carrier findings, delivery evidence, and applicable law.
Split Shipments
We may divide an order into multiple shipments when items have different processing requirements or when doing so improves delivery. We will not add an unapproved shipping charge because an order is split.
